१ बधक पत्नी जो स्त्री आफ्ना पतिप्रति द्वेष भाव राख्छे, अहित चिन्तन गर्छे, परपुरुषप्रति आशक्त भएर पतिको अपमान गर्छे, पतिको धनका लागि पतिको वध गराउन पनि पछि पर्दैन, त्यस्ती पत्नी बधक पत्नी हुन्। यस्तो दुशील स्त्री मरणपछि नरक जान्छे। २ चोरीसम (चोर) पत्नी पतिले कमाएर दिएको धन मध्ये केही अंश लुकाउँछे। यस्ती स्त्री पनि मरणपछि नरक जान्छे। ३ आयासम (स्वामिनी) पत्नी केही काम नगर्ने, अल्छी, धेरै खाने, कठोर वचन बोल्ने, नोकरचाकरलाई अपमान गर्ने। ४ मातुसम (आमा जस्ती) पत्नी आमाले छोरोको हित चाहे जस्तै सँधै पतिको हित चाहने हुन्छे। प्राप्त धनलाई राम्रोसित सनुम्हालेर राख्छे। यस्ती पत्नी सदाचारयुक्त भएकीले मरणपछि स्वर्णलोकमा गएर सुख भोग गर्छे। ५ भगिनीसम (बहिनी जस्ती) पत्नी पतिको सम्मान गर्ने, लज्जालु र पतिले भनेको मान्ने हुन्छे। यस्ती स्त्री पनि मृत्युपछि स्वर्गलोकमा जान्छे। ६ सखीभरिया (साथी जस्ती) पत्नी पति देखेर प्रसन्न हुने, आफ्नो कुल परम्परा कायम गर्ने, शीलवती तथा पतिव्रता हुन्छे। यस्ती स्त्री पनि मरणपछि स्वर्गलोकमा जान्छे। ७ दासीसम (दासी जस्ती) पत्नी कहिल्यै नरिसाउने, शान्त स्वभावकी, दण्ड देखेर डराउने, पतिको कुरा मान्ने, सहनशील हुन्छे। यस्ती स्त्री पनि मरणपछि स्वर्गलोकमा जान्छे। सात प्रकारका पत्नीहरुको वर्णनपछि भगवानले सुजातासित सोधे, सुजाता, लोकमा यी सात प्रकारका पत्नीहरु छन्। यी मध्ये तिमी आफूलाई कुन प्रकारकी पत्नी मान्छौ ।
